Privacy policy
This policy explains how Serialix processes information for Shopify merchants and their customers. The merchant controls customer data; midorry processes it to provide Serialix.
Information we handle
We process Shopify shop and authentication data plus the information needed for serial-number traceability: serial numbers, product and SKU details, order numbers, fulfillment records, and — when a serial is assigned to an order — the customer name and email attached to that order.
How we use it
We use this information to record which serial numbers shipped with which orders, power lookup and CSV exports, mirror assignments into order metafields at the merchant's request, alert merchants to fulfillments without serials, operate billing, and respond to privacy requests. We do not sell customer data or use it for unrelated advertising.
Service providers
- Shopify provides shop, product, order, billing, and webhook services.
- Railway provides hosting and database infrastructure in the United States.
Retention and Shopify privacy requests
Records are retained while the app is installed and needed to provide the traceability service. On a Shopify customer-redact request, matching customer names and emails are removed from serial records while the serial and order references are kept for merchant traceability. On a Shopify shop-redact request, all remaining shop records are deleted.
Security and international processing
Serialix authenticates Shopify admin requests and webhooks and limits merchant records by shop. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. No online service can promise absolute security.
Requests and contact
Customers should normally contact the merchant that collected their information. Merchants and data subjects can also contact midorry at info@midorry.com about access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions.
